Our Community of Illinois, Inc. (OCI), is a not-for-profit
corporation
created to improve the lives of foster children.
Every community has many available but often untapped, resources. OCI acquires these untapped resources by reaching out to businesses, community agencies, and individuals. We solicit corporate sponsorships, donations, and volunteer services to supplement limited governmental resources. OCI delivers donated items, such as bicycles, toys, and computers, directly to foster children. We use monetary donations to obtain services and purchase other needed items for our children.
In the past, we have partnered with the following corporations and organizations:
Through generous donations from community individuals and businesses, OCI has given over 150 bicycles, 30 car seats and computers, and various clothing, furniture, and toys to foster children. OCI has also paid for school tuition and driving instruction for foster youth.

Our Community of Illinois strives to expand our efforts in the months and years to come. With your help, we hope to coordinate and sustain a summer day camp for foster children, providing them with structured and enriching activities.
